Cookies and local storage

Wine Lies uses necessary first-party cookies named `wl_host_` plus the game identifier. They are HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax and last two weeks, allowing this browser to reopen the relevant Host desk.

When you join as a player from this browser, we use `wl_seat_` plus the game identifier. A signed-in Host also receives Better Auth’s session cookie (`better-auth.session_token`) to authenticate the account. Age confirmation is stored in `wl_age`. Your measurement choice is stored in `wl_consent`. These are not advertising cookies.

Theme preferences and Host drafts are stored in localStorage, not cookies. Plausible measures public pages only after you allow measurement; we do not load the script if you refuse. We do not use Meta Pixel, Google Ads tags or a tag manager. You can change the choice in the footer.
